Hotel Xcaret Mexico wedding packages: costs, venues & what’s included

Hotel Xcaret Mexico wedding packages: costs, venues & what’s included

Having worked on destination weddings at Hotel Xcaret Mexico, our team has seen firsthand how package selection, guest count, venue choice, and add-on services all shape both the day itself and the final budget. This guide walks through the current Hotel Xcaret wedding packages, what each one actually includes, the venues available, and the additional costs couples should plan for — combining the current package pricing we work with as an authorized Hotel Xcaret wedding provider with what we’ve learned coordinating real weddings there.

Because Hotel Xcaret Mexico spans both hotel properties and the adjoining Xcaret Park, the final price and venue depend on guest count, ceremony type, and which space is assigned — not a single flat rate.

Planning a wedding at Hotel Xcaret Mexico

Hotel Xcaret Mexico sits between the Riviera Maya jungle and the Caribbean Sea, and its wedding program — branded Bodas Xcaret — covers ceremonies and receptions across Hotel Xcaret México, Hotel Xcaret Arte, La Casa de la Playa, and select venues inside Xcaret Park itself. Couples can also explore the official Hoteles Xcaret wedding information directly from the resort. That range is a strength, but it also means the packages aren’t identical from one property to the next, which is where most of the confusion (and most of the actual cost differences) comes from.

Hotel Xcaret Mexico wedding packages

As your on-site wedding provider, we currently offer four core packages, priced by guest count and location, plus a special 2026-2027 promotional package for qualifying weddings. Encanto and Paraíso are held at the hotel properties — Hotel Xcaret México, Hotel Xcaret Arte, or La Casa de la Playa — while Amor y Mar and Río de Amor are held inside Xcaret Park itself. All four include a ceremony, and three include a full reception.

Encanto wedding package

Encanto is built for intimate weddings — just the couple or a small group. It includes the ceremony venue, a minister for a symbolic ceremony (legal and Catholic ceremonies are also available as upgrades), a gazebo specific to the selected hotel, table and floral arrangement for the ceremony, chair setup, and audio/microphone service. Benefits include soloist music (up to 45 minutes), a restaurant dinner reservation, and a sparkling wine toast.

  • Hotel Xcaret México or Hotel Xcaret Arte: $6,100 USD for 2–15 guests, including the couple.
  • La Casa de la Playa: $6,400 USD for 2–15 guests, including the couple.

No additional-guest rate is listed for Encanto, since the package is capped at 15 guests. It doesn’t include a formal reception — the “reception” here is a restaurant dinner reservation rather than a dedicated venue and open bar, which is the main practical difference from the other three packages.

Paraíso wedding package

Paraíso adds a full reception and is available starting at 30 guests. The ceremony follows the same structure as Encanto (venue, minister, gazebo, table, floral arrangement, chairs, audio), and the package adds a cocktail hour (standard setup, four hors d’oeuvres per person, one-hour open bar) plus a reception with a three-course plated menu and four-hour open bar. Benefits include personal flowers for the couple, bouquets or boutonnieres for the wedding party (up to four pieces), 45 minutes of soloist music, four hours of DJ service, and a 16×16 ft. wooden dance floor.

  • Hotel Xcaret México or Hotel Xcaret Arte: $16,750 USD, additional guest $220 USD.
  • La Casa de la Playa: $21,500 USD, additional guest $240 USD.

As a hotel-based package, Paraíso carries a room block requirement: at least 80% of guests must stay at Hotel Xcaret México or Hotel Xcaret Arte for a minimum three-night stay on the room block dates. Weddings at La Casa de la Playa require the couple and all guests to stay a minimum of three nights. Encanto also requires on-site accommodation, although its specific requirements differ due to its smaller guest capacity.

Amor y Mar wedding package

Amor y Mar is one of two “Xcaret Park Exclusive” packages, available for 30+ guests, held at Las Pozas or La Hacienda inside Xcaret Park rather than at the hotel properties. The ceremony includes the venue, minister, floral arrangement, chairs, and audio; the reception matches Paraíso’s structure — cocktail hour, three-course plated dinner, four-hour open bar, and the same benefits (personal flowers, wedding party flowers, soloist music, four-hour DJ service, dance floor).

  • Las Pozas or La Hacienda, Xcaret Park: $19,000 USD, additional guest $190 USD.

Because this is a Park venue rather than a hotel venue, additional benefits apply specifically when the couple and their guests are staying at Hoteles Xcaret properties, and date confirmation depends on venue capacity and availability inside the park.

Río de Amor wedding package

Río de Amor is the second Park Exclusive package and the largest of the four, available starting at 70 guests. The ceremony takes place at El Caracol, with a minister, table and floral arrangement, and audio service; the reception moves to La Isla, with a standard dinner setup, three-course plated menu, and a five-hour open bar — an hour longer than the other three packages. Benefits include a Prehispanic welcome, personal flowers for the couple, wedding party flowers, five hours of DJ service, and the wooden dance floor. Unlike the other packages, Río de Amor’s benefits don’t include soloist music.

  • La Isla, Xcaret Park: $25,000 USD, additional guest $210 USD.

Special 2026 offer: Atardecer Wedding Package

Couples planning a Hotel Xcaret wedding in 2026 may also qualify for the Atardecer Wedding Package, a special promotion available at Hotel Xcaret México and Hotel Xcaret Arte.

Starting at $3,950 USD ($75,000 MXN), the package includes a symbolic ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, open bar, wedding flowers, personalized wedding coordination, and a two-hour photo session with Xtudio Xcaret.

The promotion requires a minimum of 50 guests and 25 rooms for three nights for Sunday–Thursday weddings, or 60 guests and 30 rooms for three nights for Friday–Saturday weddings. All guests must stay at the host hotel under the contracted room block.

Available for selected months in 2026 and subject to date and venue availability.

Magic Dream Weddings’ Hotel Xcaret wedding package guide

Want to review the complete package details yourself? Here’s the wedding package guide we put together, covering all four packages, inclusions, and requirements in full.

We use this guide, alongside our firsthand planning experience at the resort, to help couples understand how these packages translate into a real wedding.

How much does a wedding at Hotel Xcaret Mexico cost?

The four package prices above answer “how much is the package,” but the more useful question is usually “how much will our actual wedding cost.” That number depends on several variables layered on top of the base price:

  • Base wedding package — starting at $6,100 USD (Encanto) up to $25,000 USD (Río de Amor), per our current pricing above.
  • Additional guests — billed per person once a couple exceeds the package’s included guest count, ranging from $190 to $240 USD per guest depending on the package and location.
  • Venue and ceremony type — hotel-based ceremonies versus Xcaret Park venues, and symbolic versus legal or Catholic ceremonies, each carry different costs (detailed below).
  • Flowers, decor, and entertainment upgrades — anything beyond what’s built into the package.
  • Photography and video — not included in any of the four packages.
  • Outside vendors — permitted, but with a fee added to the wedding balance if a couple chooses a supplier outside our authorized list.
  • Accommodation and room block — relevant for both hotel-based packages, Encanto and Paraíso. Accommodation requirements vary by package, while the Xcaret Park Exclusive packages follow different conditions.

As a purely illustrative example based on our current pricing — not a quote — a Paraíso wedding for 50 guests at Hotel Xcaret México would work out to roughly $16,750 plus 20 additional guests at $220 each, or about $21,150 before any upgrades, ceremony add-ons, or accommodation costs. Adding a legal ceremony ($1,500 USD, plus a separate apostille fee) and professional photography (starting around $1,000 USD) would push that example closer to $23,650–$24,000, depending on what’s added.

For an Xcaret Park wedding, the math works out differently: an Amor y Mar celebration for 40 guests at Las Pozas or La Hacienda would run roughly $19,000 plus 10 additional guests at $190 each, or about $20,900 before extras. A Río de Amor wedding for 80 guests at La Isla would run roughly $25,000 plus 10 additional guests at $210 each, or about $27,100 before extras — reflecting the larger scale and longer open bar built into that package.

What is included in a Hotel Xcaret wedding package?

Ceremony

All four packages include the ceremony venue, a minister for a symbolic ceremony, table and floral arrangement, chair setup, and audio/microphone service. Encanto and Paraíso (Hotel Xcaret México, Hotel Xcaret Arte, or La Casa de la Playa)  specify a “special gazebo by the selected hotel” — meaning the exact structure varies by property. Amor y Mar uses Las Pozas or La Hacienda, and Río de Amor uses El Caracol — both inside Xcaret Park rather than on hotel grounds.

Cocktail hour

Paraíso (Hotel Xcaret) and Amor y Mar (Xcaret Park) include a standard cocktail setup with four hors d’oeuvres per person and a one-hour open bar. Encanto (Hotel Xcaret) and Río de Amor (Xcaret Park) don’t include a separate cocktail hour in their documented inclusions.

Wedding reception

Paraíso (Hotel Xcaret) and Amor y Mar (Xcaret Park)  include a three-course plated dinner with a four-hour open bar; Río de Amor (Xcaret Park)  includes the same plated dinner structure with a five-hour open bar. Encanto’s (Hotel Xcaret) “reception” is a restaurant dinner reservation rather than a dedicated event space.

Flowers, music & entertainment

Included across the three larger packages: personal flowers for the couple (up to two pieces), bouquets or boutonnieres for the wedding party (up to four pieces), a wooden dance floor, and DJ service (four hours for Paraíso and Amor y Mar, five for Río de Amor). Soloist music (up to 45 minutes) is included for Encanto (Hotel Xcaret), Paraíso (Hotel Xcaret), and Amor y Mar (Xcaret Park), but not for Río de Amor (Xcaret Park). . Anything beyond these specifics — additional entertainment, upgraded floral design, extended DJ hours — is quoted separately as an add-on.

Special benefits for the couple

Encanto and Paraíso — both Hotel Xcaret packages — include personalized attention from a wedding coordinator, a romantic amenity on the wedding night, a romantic breakfast the morning after, a personalized gift, ironing for up to two garments, and a complimentary 4th-night stay certificate valid on the couple’s first anniversary. Paraíso adds a two-hour photo session the day before or after the wedding. These benefits are specific to the two hotel-based packages, not general hotel amenities.

Hotel Xcaret Mexico wedding venues

It’s worth being precise here: some Bodas Xcaret venues sit on the hotel grounds  (Hotel Xcaret México, Hotel Xcaret Arte, La Casa de la Playa), while others are located inside Xcaret Park itself, a short distance from the hotels rather than on the hotel grounds. Here’s how they break down.

Venues at the hotel properties (Hotel Xcaret México & Hotel Xcaret Arte)

Capilla de Todos los Ángeles

The resort’s Catholic chapel, set at the top of the Xpiral Pyramid with panoramic views of the jungle and Caribbean Sea. Reserved for Catholic ceremonies only, available for the additional fee noted below.

Caleta Fuego

A sheltered cove where calm water meets a sandy shoreline, used for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions — one of the most versatile outdoor spaces on the hotel grounds.

Cuevas Kayak

An intimate cave venue used for ceremonies, cocktail hours, and smaller receptions. Its covered setting also makes it a practical backup option if the weather doesn’t cooperate.

Explanada Pirámide (Xpiral)

An open-air terrace at the base of the pyramid, used mainly for ceremonies, with the pyramid itself as a backdrop.

Ecuménica Chapel (Caleta Ecuménica)

A covered, non-denominational outdoor chapel at Hotel Xcaret Arte, tucked into the quietest corner of the resort with ocean views. Ceremony use only.

Playón Pirámide

A beach-adjacent ceremony space near the pyramid, used mainly for outdoor ceremonies.

Venues inside Xcaret Park

Las Pozas

Las Pozas sits among natural pools inside Xcaret Park, built around a stone altar with the Caribbean Sea as a backdrop and an area of white sand — a setting suited to a sunset ceremony. It’s one of two venue options for the Amor y Mar package.

La Hacienda

Also called Hacienda Henequenera in Xcaret’s own venue materials, La Hacienda recreates a Yucatán hacienda from the region’s henequen era, with a large covered patio suited to hosting a celebration regardless of weather. It’s the second venue option for Amor y Mar.

El Caracol

El Caracol is a ceremony venue built around a circular, spiral walkway referencing Maya architecture, used for civil, symbolic, or spiritual ceremonies. It’s the designated ceremony venue for the Río de Amor package, and couples often walk from El Caracol to the La Isla reception as part of the celebration.

La Isla

La Isla is the reception venue paired with El Caracol under the Río de Amor package — a large, palapa-covered space built into a natural setting with a river running through it, designed to host bigger receptions than the hotel-based venues typically accommodate.

Chapel of Guadalupe

A Catholic ceremony chapel set inside a natural cenote — one of the park’s more distinctive religious ceremony spaces.

Chapel San Francisco

Also known as San Francisco de Asís Chapel, a legally recognized Catholic chapel set at the highest point of Xcaret Park, with panoramic views over the Caribbean Sea.

Real weddings at Hotel Xcaret Mexico

Seeing complete wedding galleries can be helpful when deciding whether Hotel Xcaret Mexico is the right setting for your celebration. Beyond showing the venue itself, real weddings give you a better sense of how the spaces, natural surroundings, decor, photography, and different moments of the day come together.

Here are several Hotel Xcaret Mexico weddings and celebrations planned by Magic Dream Weddings and photographed by Pixan Photography:

These real celebrations can also help couples visualize how a Hotel Xcaret wedding unfolds beyond the package details — from the ceremony and couple portraits to guest experiences and the reception.

Which Hotel Xcaret wedding venue is right for you?

Best for an intimate wedding

For a small guest list, Encanto at Hotel Xcaret México or Hotel Xcaret Arte keeps things simple without requiring a large event space. From our experience planning weddings at this scale, couples choosing Encanto are usually prioritizing an easy weekend for a close circle over a full production — the restaurant dinner reservation in place of a formal reception tends to fit that goal well.

Best for 30+ guests

Paraíso is the natural fit once the guest list crosses 30, since it’s the smallest package that includes a full reception with an open bar and dinner service. For couples choosing Paraíso and traveling from the United States or Canada, we generally recommend considering the room block requirement early — at least 80% of guests need to stay on-site for a minimum of three nights, which affects how a couple communicates travel logistics to their guest list from the start .

Best for a large destination wedding

Río de Amor, built around El Caracol and La Isla, is designed for 70+ guests and is the only package with a five-hour open bar. One detail couples often overlook when comparing Xcaret wedding venues is that a Park-based wedding of this size involves more moving parts — transportation between the hotel and the park venues, for one — which is worth planning for early rather than discovering the week of the wedding.

Best for a Catholic wedding

Any of the four packages can add a Catholic ceremony — at Capilla de Todos los Ángeles on the hotel grounds, or at the Chapel of Guadalupe or Chapel San Francisco inside Xcaret Park — for the same $1,500 USD fee, with the priest arranged separately. Which chapel makes the most sense usually comes down to whether the rest of the wedding is happening at the hotel or in the park.

Best for a unique Xcaret experience

Amor y Mar and Río de Amor both use Xcaret Park venues rather than hotel grounds, which is the more distinctive choice for couples who want their wedding to feel unmistakably tied to the park’s setting — Las Pozas’ natural pools, or El Caracol’s walkway into La Isla — rather than a more conventional hotel ceremony space..

Additional Hotel Xcaret wedding costs to consider

Additional guests

Every package beyond Encanto charges per additional guest once the included count is exceeded: $220 USD (Paraíso at Hotel Xcaret México/Arte), $240 USD (Paraíso at La Casa de la Playa), $190 USD (Amor y Mar), and $210 USD (Río de Amor). Encanto doesn’t list an additional-guest rate, since it’s capped at 15 guests.

Legal ceremony fees

All four packages include a symbolic ceremony by default. Converting it into a legally binding ceremony adds a documented $1,500 USD fee, plus a separate cost for the apostille — the total combined cost for a symbolic plus legal ceremony is $2,800 USD.

Catholic ceremony & chapel fees

A Catholic ceremon — at Capilla de Todos los Ángeles on the hotel grounds, or at the Chapel of Guadalupe or Chapel San Francisco inside Xcaret Park — adds $1,500 USD to the selected package. Priest service isn’t included in that fee; couples handle documentation and the priest’s service fee directly with the officiant. The combined cost for symbolic plus Catholic ceremonies is $2,100 USD.

Outside vendor fees

Services not included in the package — flowers, decor, additional entertainment, photography, and video — are quoted separately with our authorized suppliers. If a couple chooses a vendor outside that authorized list, a vendor fee is added to the wedding balance; we don’t quote a flat outside-vendor amount, since it’s assessed per vendor and service.

Flowers, decor & entertainment upgrades

Per our current authorized-supplier pricing, flowers and decor start around $750 USD for a ceremony-only add-on and $1,500 USD for a full wedding (effective December 2025). Additional audiovisual services run about $1,000 USD for either scope (effective December 2025), furniture rental runs $500–$870 USD depending on scope (December 2025), and musicians run around $1,000 USD (effective July 2024). A photobooth is available for the full wedding only, at roughly $500 USD (December 2025).

Photography & video

Photography and video aren’t included in any of the four packages. Per our current authorized-supplier fee schedule, photography alone, video alone, or a combined photography-and-video package each run approximately $1,000 USD (effective March 2024). Hair and makeup runs approximately $1,500 USD (effective January 2025), and a wedding cake with a dessert table starts around $290 USD plus a liability waiver (effective January 2024).

Because these rates carry different effective dates rather than a single blanket update, it’s worth confirming current pricing with us close to the wedding date rather than assuming the figures above are still exact by the time of booking.

Hotel Xcaret wedding guest accommodations & room requirements

Room block requirements

Accommodation requirements apply to both hotel-based packages, although they differ by package. Paraíso requires a minimum of eleven rooms booked for a three-night stay each, with at least 80% of the wedding’s guests staying at Hotel Xcaret México or Hotel Xcaret Arte across those room block dates. Weddings held at La Casa de la Playa require the couple and the entire guest list to stay a minimum of three nights. For Encanto, the couple and all guests must stay at the hotel where the ceremony is held.

How many wedding guests need to stay at Hotel Xcaret?

Accommodation is required for both Hotel Xcaret packages, but the requirements differ. For Paraíso, at least 80% of the wedding guests must stay at Hotel Xcaret México or Hotel Xcaret Arte for a minimum of three nights during the room block dates. For Encanto, the couple and all guests must stay at the hotel where the ceremony is held. The Xcaret Park Exclusive packages — Amor y Mar and Río de Amor — don’t carry the same accommodation requirement, although additional benefits apply when the couple and guests stay at Hoteles Xcaret properties.

What about guests staying outside the resort?

We don’t currently have a day-pass or outside-guest arrangement to point to for non-staying guests attending a wedding at Hoteles Xcaret, so this isn’t something to assume is available — couples with guests who won’t be staying on-site should ask us directly about their specific package and venue.

The Hotel Xcaret guest experience

Choosing Hotel Xcaret also shapes what guests experience beyond the ceremony itself. Between the hotel’s dining, the option to add park access, and venues that range from beachfront to jungle-set, a Hotel Xcaret wedding can extend into a multi-day stay rather than a single afternoon — which is part of why guest accommodation planning matters as much as the ceremony details.

What international couples should know before booking

Planning a Hotel Xcaret wedding from the United States or Canada adds a layer most couples don’t fully anticipate until they’re in the middle of it:

  • Deposits and contracts — a deposit and signed room contract are required before we send the wedding package contract itself, and suggested venues are only tentatively held (up to 10 days) while room confirmation is processed.
  • Room blocks — coordinating a group of guests booking rooms from another country takes more lead time than a single reservation.
  • Vendor coordination — deciding between our authorized suppliers and outside vendors affects both cost and how much coordination falls on the couple.
  • Symbolic vs. legal ceremony — most international couples hold a symbolic ceremony at the resort and complete the legal marriage separately in their home country, given the added fee and apostille process for a legal ceremony in Mexico.
  • Communication and timeline — managing contracts, deposits, and vendor confirmations across time zones is one of the more common friction points we see with couples planning from abroad.

Why work with a wedding planner who knows Hotel Xcaret Mexico?

We specialize in destination weddings in the Riviera Maya, working primarily with couples from the United States and Canada, with direct experience coordinating celebrations at Hotel Xcaret Mexico — across both the hotel properties and Xcaret Park. That experience covers package selection, venue selection, wedding design, vendor coordination, guest logistics, timeline planning, and day-of coordination.

Package pricing tells a couple what’s available and what it costs. Knowing which venue actually suits a specific guest count, how the room block requirement affects group travel planning, or what an outside-vendor fee typically looks like in practice is the kind of detail that generally comes from having planned weddings at the resort directly, rather than from a price list alone.

Hotel Xcaret Mexico wedding FAQs

How much does a Hotel Xcaret wedding cost?

Our current package pricing starts at $6,100 USD for the Encanto package (2–15 guests) and goes up to $25,000 USD for Río de Amor (70+ guests). The final cost depends on guest count, venue, ceremony type, and any add-ons like photography, flowers, or a legal or Catholic ceremony.

What Hotel Xcaret wedding packages are available?

Four packages are currently available: Encanto (intimate, 2–15 guests, hotel properties), Paraíso (30+ guests, full reception, hotel properties), Amor y Mar (30+ guests, Xcaret Park), and Río de Amor (70+ guests, the largest package, also Xcaret Park).

How many guests are included in a Hotel Xcaret wedding package?

Encanto includes up to 15 guests, Paraíso and Amor y Mar are built around a 30-guest minimum, and Río de Amor starts at 70 guests. Additional guests beyond each package’s included count are billed per person.

What is included in a Hotel Xcaret wedding package?

All packages include the ceremony venue, a minister for a symbolic ceremony, floral arrangement, chairs, and audio. Paraíso, Amor y Mar, and Río de Amor add a cocktail hour and reception with an open bar; specific extras like soloist music, DJ service, and a dance floor vary by package.

What are the best Hotel Xcaret wedding venues?

At the hotel properties: Caleta Fuego, Cuevas Kayak, Explanada Pirámide, and the Ecuménica Chapel, plus Capilla de Todos los Ángeles for Catholic ceremonies. Inside Xcaret Park: Las Pozas, La Hacienda, and El Caracol paired with La Isla, plus the Chapel of Guadalupe and Chapel San Francisco for Catholic ceremonies. The right one depends on guest count and whether you’re marrying at the hotel or in the park.

Can you bring outside vendors to Hotel Xcaret?

Yes, though services not included in the package are typically quoted through our authorized suppliers. Choosing a vendor outside that list adds a fee to the wedding balance, assessed per vendor rather than at a fixed rate.

Do wedding guests have to stay at Hotel Xcaret Mexico?

Yes, accommodation is required for both Hotel Xcaret packages, although the requirements differ. For Paraíso, at least 80% of guests must stay at Hotel Xcaret México or Hotel Xcaret Arte for a minimum of three nights during the room block dates. For Encanto, the couple and all guests must stay at the hotel where the ceremony is held. The Xcaret Park Exclusive packages — Amor y Mar and Río de Amor — don’t carry the same accommodation requirement

Can you have a legal wedding at Hotel Xcaret Mexico?

Yes. All packages include a symbolic ceremony by default, with the option to convert it into a legally binding ceremony for an additional $1,500 USD plus a separate apostille fee.

Can you have a Catholic wedding at Hotel Xcaret?

Yes, at Capilla de Todos los Ángeles on the hotel grounds, or at the Chapel of Guadalupe or Chapel San Francisco inside Xcaret Park, for an additional $1,500 USD on top of the selected package. Priest service is arranged separately and isn’t included in that fee.

What happens if it rains on your wedding day?

We don’t have a fixed, published weather contingency policy to point to, so this is worth confirming with us directly when booking — particularly for outdoor venues like Las Pozas inside Xcaret Park or Caleta Fuego at the hotel, where a covered backup space (like Cuevas Kayak) may need to be arranged in advance.

How far in advance should you book a Hotel Xcaret wedding?

We don’t set a fixed minimum, but a deposit and signed room contract are required before we issue the wedding package contract, and venues are only tentatively held for about 10 days during room confirmation — which favors booking well ahead of your intended date, especially for larger guest counts or peak season.
